Past Tea and Tales Stories
Take 5: We will take some time to get to know the next protagonist, the Wanderer, as well his grandfather, the Bard. The is the first installment of the "The Bard Speaks" out of "Ella Bandita and the Wanderer."
Then we'll travel to Ireland for the folk tale of "The Sons of Tureen," a tale of pride, courage, and quite possibly too much vengeance.
Take 6: The plot thickens! Come join us for the second half of the adventurous and bloody saga of the Irish Folk Tale, The Sons of Tureen, and for the start of one of the Bard's legends of Ella Bandita, and her conquest of the Gambling Man!
Take 7: It just keeps getting better and better. We've gone through the journey of the metamorphosis of the unloved daughter of the Patron into the notorious Thief of Hearts, Ella Bandita. And we've gone to faraway lands to hear about Scheherazade, Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, Psyche and Eros, Raven Stealing the Light, and the Sons of Tureen.
So join us for Take 7 to witness Ella Bandita as she makes the Gambling Man lose his last roll. Then we will go to the mythical realms of the Nordic Gods and learn about the eternal cycles of creation and destruction between the giants and the gods fighting over the creation of the Cosmos and Ragnarok, where Odin rules but Freyja has the power of seidr, the ability to weave changes in the ways of fate.
Take 8: Even as the light is getting brighter and lingering longer, DreamSpace is still the place to get a cup of tea and a couple of tales. Come join us and hear the tale of how Thor had to dress up as a woman to get his hammer back. Then we will start with the next conquest of Ella Bandita, when the Rogue is captivated by the torrid, illicit tempest of the Duchess, in an affair of the heart that was mere illusion between two masters of the game of seduction.
We have a guest storyteller this week! Simran Narmis will tell us about the adventures of Nergal and Ereshkigal, a Sumerian love story with a dark twist. There will also be an original painting by Simran showing a scene out of this folk tale. Awesome!
Take 9: This Monday, I will continue to its end the intrgue between the Rogue, the Duchess, and the Thief of Hearts - Ella Bandita! Then we will go back to the Ireland, the land of Banba - and tell about the ill-fated love story of Midir and Etain.
Take 10: For my 10th Tea & Tales at Dreamspace, I will begin with the Greek mythical saga of the 12 labors of Hercules and finish the intrigue of the Rogue, the Duchess, and Ella Bandita!
Take 11: For the 2nd try for Take 11, I'll tell ALL 12 of the Labors of Hercules and a segment out of Ella Bandita and the Wanderer
